PLEASE NOTE: The Flash version of the Virtual Classroom/Sync Activity may not be available at your institution and will be depreciated at all institutions by the end of the year.
The instructor led Virtual Classroom session and student led Sync Activity pages are identical in function. This synchronous meeting space offers users many tools for presenting*.

*Within Virtual Classroom, YouSeeU does not currently support external writing tablets or touchscreens.
The Virtual Classroom space is pre-loaded with 10 pages of whiteboard space. There is a URL at the bottom of the first whiteboard page for a webpage that has support and tutorials related to Virtual Classroom. To navigate between pages in the presentation/whiteboard space, you can use the arrow buttons.
The side toolbar has many different tools that can be used during the presentation.
The first tool that is automatically selected is the Pan and Zoom Tool. This tool allows you to zoom in using a scroll wheel, or to move the image by clicking and dragging.
The second tool is the pencil tool. This can be used to draw or write on the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to draw your image, or write what you wish.
The third tool is the Rectangle tool. This tool allows you to draw a rectangle within the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to make the size of the rectangle you wish.
The fourth tool is the Circle tool. This tool allows you to draw a circle or oval within the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to make the size of the circle or oval you wish.
The fifth tool is the Triangle tool. This tool allows you to draw a triangle within the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to make the size of the triangle you wish.
The sixth tool is the Line tool. This tool allows you to draw a line within the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to make the size of the line you wish.
The seventh tool is the text box. This tool allows you to draw a textbox within the presentation. To use the tool you will click down and drag your mouse to make the size of the textbox you wish. You will then be able to type within the box. You can change the size of the letters and the color in the menu above the text box. Note: make sure to make the textbox big enough for what you wish to write as you will not be able to resize it afterwards.
You are allowed to clear all annotations. When you use this function it will only clear the annotations within the page that you are on. This will not affect other pages of the presentation.
If you would only wish to clear the last think that you did within the presentation you will click the Undo button.
You are able to change the color of the pencil and of the shapes that you draw.
You are also able to change the thickness of the pencil, and of the borders of the shapes you draw. To change the size you will drag the arrow up and down to the desired location.
You can manually choose the amount of zoom within the presentation by dragging the arrow left and right at the bottom of the page. When you have zoomed in you will use the Pan and Zoom tool to position the presentation to the correct location
You can also choose to fit the presentation to the width of the screen.
Your last option is to fit the presentation to the page
To add a file you will click the add presentation button at the bottom of the presentation screen.
You will then click Select File within the upload screen, then click upload. You will wait for the file to upload to finish and then you will be taken back to the Sync meeting page.
If you have uploaded a presentation and wish to move to the blank whiteboard you will need to click the add presentation button at the bottom of the screen.
You will now select “Show” next to the default.pdf. All annotation that are make on one presentation will stay on that presentation, if you switch between the two presentations.
To start poll question, click the Poll icon at the bottom of the screen.
Choose the poll type from the menu that correlates with the type of question you will ask. You can also create a custom poll type if needed. Ask the poll question and allow time for participants to respond. The poll question can also be uploaded and displayed in the presentation window.
To display poll results in the presentation window, click Publish.
NOTE: The ability for educators to create breakout rooms is a feature offered only for YouSeeU Premium customers.
