Your assignment may allow you to rate your classmates’ submission on a scale of 1-5 stars. The criteria for the rating should be provided by your instructor and may be based on your assessment of the quality of the submission, your level of agreement with the student’s viewpoint, or other rating criteria.
To completing a rating, click on the number of stars that represents your rating for the response. Typically, a 1-star rating is the lowest and a 5-star rating is the highest. You can change your rating after your initial input.
If your assignment will be graded using a rubric, will be available for you to view before completing the assignment in the instructions section. Your instructor may also require you to complete a rubric for peer submissions. Once you view a classmate’s video, you will be given the option to open the rubric.
Once you open the rubric, you can fill out the rubric by selecting a point value for each row item. When you are finished, click Save and your rubric will be submitted.
Your instructor may also require you to complete this rubric after your watch your own submission.
In the Student results list, there is a play button next to the name of each student that has submitted a video for the activity. If you have viewed a peer’s submission yet, the round Not viewed icon will also appear. Once you have viewed a classmate’s video, a check mark will replace the Not viewed icon.
To comment on a peer’s video, begin by clicking the play button.
If your instructor has enabled Comments, you will be able to leave comments on your classmates’ submission. To give feedback, type in the Add Comment box and click Add. You can do this at any point during the video and as often as you’d like.
If your instructor has enabled SyncComments, you will be able to give time-stamped comments to your classmates. This allows students to match feedback to the appropriate spot in their video. To make a comment at a particular point of the video, click the Add Comment button.
Type the comment in the text box and click Submit.
Time-stamped comments will appear in the SyncComments window to the right of the student’s video.
You may also have the opportunity to leave a Video SyncComment. To leave a comment you will click Add Video SyncComment.
Then you will choose between selecting a already recorded video (Select video), Record Video, or Transfer from a cloud storage; Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive.
Additional feedback can be given after the video ends by clicking the Add Comment button, typing final comments or overall thoughts about the submission and then clicking Submit.
