You can schedule a synchronous meeting with an individual student or multiple students in your course. Maximum webcams allowed to share is 7, but as many as 50 students can participate (without webcams) in the meeting. You can meet for office hours or to discuss a paper or a project. Documents can be uploaded and previewed during the meeting.
To begin, make sure the correct course is chosen in the drop down box, click on the Setup tab in your navigation bar and Sync Meeting in the left pane:
Click the Schedule Meeting button and enter the date and time you would like to meet noting the next available times. Sync meetings are always scheduled a minimum of 5 minutes out:
Click on the people icon:
Click on the Invite Meeting Participants button to access your roster. You can send the invite link to individuals not enrolled in your course:
Click on the names of those you would like to invite, customize your invite and send:
You can cancel or reschedule the meeting if you need to:
To begin your meeting, click on the open door icon in your sync meetings schedule:
Students will not be able to enter the meeting room until you do. Be sure to review the meeting lobby page and accommodate accordingly:
Once the meeting has concluded, click on the door icon to exit the meeting
Please note: students will access the meeting by clicking on the system message icon (envelope in the upper left of the toolbar), and the message received by you. They will click on the link and be taken to the invite and will need to accept the invite.
Once you’ve reviewed the Lobby Page guidelines and your meeting is ready to begin, click Enter Meeting Room. Pay close attention for the browser permissions particularly when testing your mic and webcam .
THE MEETING IS AUTOMATICALLY RECORDED. RECORDING BEGINS WHEN YOU ENTER THE MEETING ROOM. HOWEVER, CLICKING THE RECORD BUTTON SETS START AND END POINTS FOR RESULT RECORDING. THESE RECORDINGS ARE SAVED IN YOUR EDUCATOR LIBRARY
