The Designer role is available for instructional design professionals or others who assist instructors and programs. Designers participate in setting up class templates, term classes, and editing existing settings in classes and templates. Designer permissions follow academic privacy best practices by allowing designers to work with class structure but do not allow access to student information including submitted assignments, discussions, and grades.
To request a Designer account in YouSeeU, contact your Institution Admin or send an email to Help@YouSeeU.com. Once your account is available, you can login to YouSeeU by visiting https://steamboat.youseeu.com/designer Designer accounts are associated with Divisions in Institutions so that categories of classes and resources can be easily managed. Division examples include the College of Business, Speech Department, or Extended Campus.
After login, Designers can participate in creating and editing Term Classes or Templates for multi-section classes.
