We’ve made access to YouSeeU easy through systems integration with your Learning Management System (LMS). Integration allows for data to pass from the LMS to YouSeeU and back to the LMS to make the user experience seamless. Integration requires the involvement of your LMS administrator to create the foundational connection through an API. Your YouSeeU sales representative or our support team can discuss integration options with you.
Here is an overview of our integration functionality.
1. Single Sign-On (SSO)
After users login to your LMS, a link can automatically login them into YouSeeU. This cuts down on managing an extra username and password and saves time for all users.
2. Auto Registration and Enrollment
When a user clicks on the YouSeeU link in the LMS, we check to ensure they have an account in YouSeeU. If they don’t then we create their account using data received from the LMS. Also, each class section in the LMS has a matching class section in YouSeeU. We check on enrollment status for the specific class and process enrollment if the user is not currently enrolled in the YouSeeU class.
3. Creation of Class Section from Template
Many of our customers conduct many sections of the same class (SPE101, Section 1-25). Our integration enables auto class section creation based on the requests we receive from the LMS data using class templates setup in YouSeeU. A class template can be used to create all of the class sections that are needed for a term, this happens automatically based on the data received from the LMS.
The grades saved in YouSeeU can be automatically transferred to populate the official gradebook in your LMS using our GradeSync function.
